Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using BruneiSport. By creating an account, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BruneiSport ("the Platform") at bruneisport.org, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform. BruneiSport reserves the right to update these Terms at any time with notice provided via the Platform.

2. Platform Purpose

BruneiSport is a multi-sided digital sports management platform designed for Brunei Darussalam. It connects registered members (athletes), sports clubs, sports associations, and venue partners. The Platform facilitates athlete profiling, event management, venue court bookings, and sports community engagement.

3. Account Eligibility & Registration

You must be at least 12 years of age to register as a member. Users under 18 require a guardian's contact details as part of the registration process. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information. Club, Association, and Venue Partner accounts require Admin approval before becoming active. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

4. Payments & Booking Policy

All financial transactions on BruneiSport are processed exclusively through Pocket Pay (pocket.com.bn) in Brunei Dollar (BND). Venue bookings and event entry fees are subject to individual venue and event organiser policies. BruneiSport does not directly handle or store payment card information. Refunds are subject to the cancellation policy set by the respective venue or event organiser. Manual (walk-in) bookings recorded by venue partners are off-platform and are not subject to Pocket Pay terms.

5. Athlete Profiles & Public Information

Members who register with at least one active sports association may be listed in the public Athletes Directory. Your public profile includes your name, district, sport interests, club affiliations, and verified achievements. Sensitive personal data (IC Number, passport details, guardian contacts) is never displayed publicly and is protected by Row Level Security policies. You may request removal of your athlete profile from the public directory by contacting support.

6. Content & Conduct

Users may submit blog articles, messages, and achievement claims. All blog content is subject to Admin review and approval before publication. You must not submit false, misleading, or fraudulent achievement claims. Harassment, abusive language, or impersonation of other users is strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension. BruneiSport reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.

7. Club & Association Responsibilities

Registered clubs and associations are responsible for the accuracy of their public profiles and event listings. Events created on the Platform must comply with applicable Brunei sports regulations. BruneiSport is not responsible for disputes between clubs, associations, and their members arising from off-platform arrangements.

8. Venue Partner Obligations

Venue partners are responsible for maintaining accurate court availability, pricing, and operating hours on the Platform. Venue partners must honour confirmed bookings made through the Platform. BruneiSport is not liable for disputes between venue partners and users regarding court conditions or services.

9. Intellectual Property

BruneiSport, its branding, design, and software are the intellectual property of the platform operators. Users retain ownership of content they submit (blog posts, achievement media) but grant BruneiSport a non-exclusive license to display this content on the Platform. You must not reproduce, distribute, or commercialise Platform content without written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

BruneiSport is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BruneiSport and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Platform and may perform maintenance or updates without prior notice.

11. Termination

BruneiSport may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or whose continued participation poses a risk to the Platform or its users. You may deactivate your account at any time by contacting support@bruneisport.org.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brunei Darussalam. Any disputes arising from your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brunei Darussalam.
